Ian Beesley was born in 1954 in Bradford. In 1973 he went to Bradford Art College after his friends noticed he had art skills and encouraged him to go to college. After college Ian Beesley then studied for three years at Bournemouth and Poole College Of Art where he gained a double distinction in Editorial and Documentary Photography. Afterwards Beesley was the recipicent of a Kodak Scholarship for Social Documentation.
Ian Beesley worked as a freelance Photographer and is now a senior lecturer at Bolton University for MA In International Photojournalism, Documentary and Travel Photography.
